Volunteer opportunity description
OUR VISION: Let's Get Ready envisions a world where students from all socioeconomic backgrounds have equal access to the support they need to reach higher education and where college students, as a movement, realize their collective potential to help the next generation step up to college.
OUR MISSION: Let’s Get Ready expands access to college for motivated, low-income high school students using the mentoring power of college students as role models.
OUR MODEL: Let's Get Ready's local programs throughout the northeast operate within a cost-effective, results-driven, scalable program model that includes:
39 hours of SAT preparation and at least 15 hours of college choice and application guidance on college research, selection and visits, essay writing, financial aid applications, scholarship opportunity research and applications, career exploration, one-on-one mentoring with adults, young professionals and college role models.
As a successful current college student or alum, you know just how important those SAT scores can be for college admission! Be part of this incredible movement. Apply online today! Go to our website and click on Programs to find out about our multiple sites around the city:
Currently, the NYU, Manhattan West Side, and the Queens site are needing volunteers! If you have questions about each individual site, please email them at:
firstname.lastname@example.org for the NYU site
email@example.com for the Manhattan West Side site
firstname.lastname@example.org for the Queens site.
Thank you very much for your interest in our program!
