Volunteer opportunity description

Program Description:

FEGS volunteers will mentor unemployed, socially and economically underserved populations who participate in employment and job readiness programs. Mentors work on an individual basis with program participants to help them gain confidence and assist with resume and cover letter writing, on-line job searches, e-mail correspondence, and managing on-line applications. Tasks may also include conducting mock interviews, as well as teaching mentees to manage their interview appointments and follow up with prospective employers by sending thank you notes and making call backs.
