Volunteer opportunity description

Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York is an innovative, nonprofit college prep boarding program, located in Brooklyn, New York, serving high school  youth from all five boroughs. Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York offers scholars private schooling, residential living, elective activities, and academic/cultural enrichment, while supporting our ultimate goal for our scholars – becoming collegians. For the upcoming 2014 – 2015 School Year, Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York is looking to recruit a core group of volunteers to serve as tutors to our scholars.


Tutors are the backbone of our academic enrichment program and connect Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York to our community. We are currently looking for tutors for a variety of high school level courses with an emphasis on english, science and math subjects (Please see full listing of acadmeic subjects below). We are flexible with volunteer schedules and can work with you to choose the times and days you would be comfortable volunteering.


Tutors are needed for the follwing subjects: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, and Latin.


Becoming a Volunteer is simple:
