Description & History

North Shore Rescue Squad Volunteer Ambulance is a strong volunteer group, which runs three shifts during the day. We have a morning, an afternoon, and an evening shift. These are staffed by an active membership of just over 100 volunteers who are New York State certified paramedics and EMTs. We also invite first aid volunteers. We will get you certified.

North Shore Rescue Squad operates daily to cover the needs of Staten Island. The Squad supports many community events. If you see our ambulance, stop by for a blood pressure screening.

Working as a volunteer with the Squad offers excellent experience if you are considering entry into Healthcare.  We meet the first Wednesday of every month at 8PM. Hope to see you there!
