Description & History

World Association for Community Empowerment is a tax-exempt organization founded in 2000 to help empower low-income and immigrant communities and families to become self-sufficient through the provision of comprehensive array of services. Since Incorporated, WACE has emerged as one of the most significant non-profit organization on Staten Island, focusing on the economic development and social needs of Staten Island's diverse and growing disadvantage communities. Our efforts are the product of a broad public, private, and non-profit partnership funded through volunteerism, individual donations, city, state, and federal collaborations, as well as private corporations and the foundation community. The agency's commitment to community outreach and establishing working liaisons with other community services providers remains a top priority, as we believe that each service provider is very vital to our communities and the families we serve.
