Description & History

The Violence Intervention & Treatment Program (VITP) works to help and empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.  We offer quality, trauma-informed counseling and case management services to anyone who has experienced sexual or domestic violence or knows someone who has.  Our services are completely free and open to everyone regardless of immigration status.

We are looking for Volunteer Rape Crisis Advocates to support individuals who present to the Emergency Department of a sexual assault or domestic violence incident. These advocates provide emotional support, advocacy, information and assistance.  A free 40-hour training is provided for certification at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.
