The Carol Maraj FoundationThe Carol Maraj Foundation is an accredited 501(c)(3) public charity, founded in 2012 by Carol Maraj to help end violence against women. We provide women with awareness, education, empowerment and prevention programs to end the devastating cycle of domestic violence.
The Center For Anti-violence EducationThe Center for Anti-violence Education (CAE) works as a catalyst for change in the lives of women, transgender people, teen women, children, and other communities especially affected by violence. CAE?s programs are designed to develop participants? skills, knowledge, and awareness to enable them to heal from, prevent, and counter violence. The Children's Law CenterThe Children’s Law Center is a not-for-profit law firm that provides legal representation to children in custody/visitation, domestic violence, guardianship and child protective cases in family& criminal court. We utilize an interdisciplinary model of attorneys, social workers, paralegals.
The Children's VillageCV works with the most at-risk youth in NY’s child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Each year, CV serves over 9,500 children and families through short-term residential and community-based programs. Focused on keeping children safe and, whenever possible, in their community with family.
The CityKids FoundationThe CityKids Foundations empowers urban youth, ages 13 to 12, to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed in school, the workplace and in life. The organization offers free arts and educational programs after school.
The City TutorsThe City Tutors is a volunteer tutoring organization that leverages the incredible academic talent and enthusiasm to serve within the tri-state area to enhance and expand academic support for programs on CUNY campuses and in the surrounding communities.
The Citywide Education Council for District 75CECD75 represents students receiving special education services who have special needs designated on their IEP. CECD75 reviews matters affecting special education services. The CECD75, in turn consults a wider community of parents & comment on SP ED policy & educational issues.
The Coalition For Debtor EducationThe mission of the Coalition for Debtor Education (CDE), established in 1998, is to improve consumers? understanding and management of their financial affairs. Our focus is on vulnerable populations including youth, seniors and low income adults. We teach practical financial information using methods that apply the psychology of money and techniques that improve adult learning and retention.
