How we do our Work

NYC Service is the connector and conduit between the private and public sector. We create and Manage employee volunteer programs to tap into the time, talent, and skills of your employees. Our team facilitates connections between corporations and nonprofits/City agencies to carry out days of service and volunteer engagement projects. In certain cases, NYC service will act as technical advisors for service projects and will plan curated days of service for select partners.

Businesses interested in coordinating service projects should complete a Service Project Interest Form.

Mayoral Service Recognition Program

Every April, NYC Service and the Mayor recognize and thank our City’s businesses that have engaged 20% or more of their NYC employees in employee volunteer engagement during the year! These businesses are invited to the Mayoral Service Recognition Ceremony to celebrate their outstanding volunteer service.
