City Year New York
Our AmeriCorps members, ages 17 to 25, develop critical workforce and interpersonal skills and access exclusive scholarships through a year of service with City Year, helping students to achieve their goals. City Year AmeriCorps members serve in schools preparing students with academic, workforce and interpersonal skills they need to succeed in school and in life and acquire valuable workforce skills that help them and prepare them to be leaders in their communities and their careers.
Sept 2026 – June 2027

Coach Across America
Coach Across America is based on a simple premise: That highly trained coaches can be among the most transformative adults in young people’s lives and inspire their success on the field, in the classroom, and in life. As an AmeriCorps member, you will coach teams and programs for elementary to high school age youth. AmeriCorps members are trained on how to become a Sports Based Youth Development Coach to positively impact youth mental and physical well-being.
Fall term: Aug – July & Winter Term: Feb – Jan

Community Health Care Association of New York State
Our mission is to increase health care access and enhance workforce development through service in community health centers throughout New York State, with the goal of eliminating health disparities for the medically underserved through long-lasting projects. CHCANYS AmeriCorps is a workforce development program dedicated to preparing members for careers in public health and community-based primary health care, while addressing the most pressing health care needs in communities.
Sept – July, plus rolling start dates

Concrete Safaris
PlacemakingCorps members explore a career in public and environmental health and placemaking, while supporting youth development and community building. Through direct service, planning, and leadership of child and youth-centered environmental health service learning projects, you will gain skills and confidence, educate children and youth on environmental health, and facilitate implementation of their visions for a healthy neighborhood.

Green City Force
The Service Corps is a structured, six-to-ten-month, full-time workforce development experience. Members serve on average four days a week in the field in service, and one day a week in classroom training and gain hands-on experience through service as part of a cohort. Service projects cultivate and distribute fresh produce, build green infrastructure, and reach residents with various health and resilience programs in public housing communities.

Hunger Free America
The Anti-Hunger Corps is a national AmeriCorps VISTA program with members that work at community based nonprofits to identify and implement sustainable solutions to ending hunger. Members identify barriers, implement sustainable solutions, and build organizational capacity to further the anti-hunger mission. VISTA members commit to a one-year full-time service and Summer Associates serve full-time from June to August.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation
Our AmeriCorps members, whether young or more seasoned, are taking up the leadership challenge and making lasting, positive changes. They are at the forefront in helping people help themselves to gain access to scarce employment opportunities, aiding families in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure to find viable refinancing options and working with youth to provide safe alternatives through after-school programming.
Fall and Spring; full-time, half-time, part-time

New York Immigration Coalition
We are a state-wide member-led coalition of immigrant and refugee organizations working to transform the lives of all New Yorkers by strengthening and building our members’ power, organizing and educating our communities and the public, and using our collective voice to advocate for opportunity and justice. NYIC AmeriCorps VISTAs engage in full-time paraprofessional service for a year at a host organization, where they work on capacity-building projects in support of the host's immigrant-focused anti-poverty services.
Year-long terms beginning between March and September

NYC Service
NYC Civic Corps members receive real-world professional experience at a City agency or nonprofit while tackling some of our city's most pressing challenges. During your 10-month, full-time service term, you are paid to channel your passions, serve your city, and jumpstart a career in engaging communities, developing programs, and managing volunteers. Join us to connect to a cohort of future civic and civil leaders, access training and career planning, and set up yourself for success.

Reading Partners
AmeriCorps members are passionate individuals who support critical needs in communities across the United States through service. At Reading Partners, our AmeriCorps members are the heart and soul of our program and come from diverse backgrounds and lifepaths to support students K-4 in becoming lifelong readers!
August – June

St. Nicks Alliance
AmeriCorps Members serve as Youth Success Mentors who play a pivotal role in the lives of high-needs youth, ages 12-24, in middle and high schools and within Brooklyn’s Williamsburg and Bushwick neighborhoods. Members mentor and help youth to complete high school or vocational training, prepare for graduation, and transition into the workforce or college. Members receive training prior to their placement and during their service year in order to successfully meet their service responsibilities.
