About Youth Action 50

Youth Action 50 is comprehensive grant and cohort-based program created by NYC Service, a division of the Office of the Mayor, that supports youth groups across the five boroughs complete a solution-oriented servicce project. 

Groups will identify a problem their community faces. Projects should address the problem, propose, and implement a tangible solution that others can adopt.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a community-based organization, nonprofit, school, or City Agency in New York City
  • Host a program or group of youth, primarily between the ages of 14-21 years old
  • Complete a solution-oriented service project that works to solve a community issue which youth are passionate about and aligns with organizations mission

Benefits

  • Receive direct support from NYC Service including workshops and access to city resources
  • $1,000 mini grant to support group and completion of project
  • Access to a network of professionals who run youth programs across sectors

Application Timeline - OPEN

Application Opens: June 3, 2026

Deadline: July 17, 2026, or untilspots are filled

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so earlier submissions are encouraged.
