Video Editors Needed for Non Profit-Theater that Serves Homeless Children

Video Volunteers needed for Non Profit Theater/Community Center that serves homeless children in NYC.

Discover how you can grow creatively as a video volunteer while serving your community at an award-winning non-profit theater.  We are building a volunteer video team with professional-level skills to edit footage of the groundbreaking work occurring at The Actors Theatre Workshop.

ATW has long been on the front lines of disciplined, creative training for theater professionals and individuals committed to fulfilling their creative potential. It has also been a safe haven for thousands of at-risk and homeless youth. Our original theater and education techniques have been tremendously successful with both our professional acting students and the children we teach in our after-school Builders of the New World program.

We have many years of footage from our adult acting workshops and community programs that we want to share with you and the world.  After sharing a selection of these videos online and receiving such positive feedback from every corner of the globe, we are taking steps to make more of our work accessible.

Our editors often talk about the beautiful deeply moving moments they witness when a student, actor, or a child from a homeless shelter brings forth their talent and reaches for their potential. By working with this material, you will gain deeper insight into the emotional and psychological breakdown of drama, and the importance of script analysis, which are both essential to creating compelling narratives through film.
