Virtual Teen Service Opportunity! Earn Service Hours and Build Community

DOROT's GENuine Connections program creates a free online space for adults (65+) and high school students (14-18) to build generational community over workshops on Zoom.

Participants will engage in meaningful conversation and creative activities within small, consistent groups, leading to the discovery of new perspectives and joy. All participants must commit to the entire workshop series in order to build community with authentic, positive connections.

Every semester offers a variety of workshop topics to choose from:

  • Current Events
  • Storytelling
  • Brain Games
  • Chess
  • Mindfulness
  • Pop Culture
  • Trivia
  • Discussion Group 
  • Theater Workshop
  • Modern Art 

No previous experience is necessary, but volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation before the next semester begins. Teens will receive community service credit. Express interest below!
