Social Media Content Creator

Location: Remote | Occasional NYC-based events

Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours per week

Blacklining Foundation is on a mission to reverse the negative effects of redlining by building health, wealth, and legacy in historically underserved communities. We're a fast-growing startup nonprofit with big impact and we're looking for a creative mind to help us share our story with the world.


About the Role:

We’re seeking a Social Media Content Creator who thrives in a startup environment and knows how to take initiative without waiting for direction. This is a role for someone who’s independent, creative, and eager to grow. At Blacklining, we don’t just want you to work with us we want to grow with you. We’re committed to providing support, feedback, mentorship, and opportunities to develop your skills while working toward a shared mission. You’ll manage and create content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, helping us amplify programs and mission.


Skills You’ll Bring:

  • A self-starter mentality with a strong sense of autonomy and accountability

  • Ability to work independently while staying connected and aligned with a team

  • Experience using tools like Canva (for content creation), Monday.com (for project tracking), and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)

  • An eye for good design, strong messaging, and community-focused storytelling

  • Passion for social justice, equity, and making an impact through digital platforms


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and schedule weekly content across social media platforms

  • Create branded graphics, short videos, and visual assets using Canva

  • Use Monday.com to track tasks and collaborate with the team

  • Contribute to creative strategy and campaign development

  • Capture and edit content at events

  • Analyze engagement metrics and recommend improvements
