The Friendly Visiting program matches homebound older adults with volunteers who weekly visit an older adult in their home. We are looking for compassionate, patient, and committed volunteers comfortable engaging with a senior living in Washington Heights, Upper Manhattan, West and Central Harlem, East Harlem and Lenox Hill.
An experienced Coordinator will match you based on location, availability, shared interests, and preferences. Once matched on your visit you may chat, play a game, read a book, take a walk (if the older adult is able), or engage in creative activities together.
No experience necessary! Training and support from staff with years of experience in Friendly Visiting.
