In America today, talent is distributed equally, while opportunity is not. Due to a history of segregation and discrimination, many communities face systemic barriers to higher paying employment. StreetWise Partners is dedicated to dismantling those barriers and closing the opportunity gap. StreetWise Partners’ goal is to leverage mentorship to increase employment opportunities for adults from overlooked and under-resourced communities within New York City. StreetWise Partners pairs volunteers with mentees who are unemployed or underemployed to provide them with the skills, resources, and access to networks they need to secure and maintain employment.
