Fundraiser Coordinator

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the nonprofit’s financial sustainability by planning, organizing, and executing fundraising initiatives. They help build donor relationships, manage campaigns, and ensure all fundraising activities align with the organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising Campaigns: Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including online fundraisers, donor drives, raffles, and special events.

  • Donor Relations: Assist in maintaining communication with current donors through thank-you letters, newsletters, and updates; help cultivate new donor relationships.

  • Event Planning: Coordinate logistics for fundraising events (venue, vendors, invitations, volunteer assignments, follow-ups) [ IF NEEDED ] 

  • Grant Support: Assist with basic grant research and gathering documents needed for grant applications.

  • Corporate Sponsorships: Help identify and approach businesses for event sponsorships, matching gifts, or partnership opportunities.

  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to promote campaigns and events via email, social media, and other platforms.

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on fundraising progress and outcomes.

Skills and Qualities [ Not Needed but good to have ] 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Creativity in developing fundraising ideas and events

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage timelines

  • Basic understanding of fundraising and donor management

  • Ability to build positive relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners

  • Passion for the nonprofit’s mission

  • Meet or exceed fundraising targets for events and campaigns

  • Grow the donor and sponsorship base

  • Build consistent year-round fundraising activities, not just seasonal efforts
