Brooklyn FAM’s mission is to work in and with community to design and produce high-quality, family-friendly, intergenerational, culturally diverse arts programming that centers and empowers marginalized and underserved communities and creates space for folks to share their stories, listen, connect, and create. All of our programs are free to the public.
Brooklyn FAM envisions a community where our differences draw us towards one another in the desire to understand and support in mutual care. The arts empower us to tell our own stories, discover others’, and create, and, in creating, to build new empathic connections for a stronger Brooklyn.
We provide access to innovative arts experiences rarely available to families, often due to sheer lack of availability or prohibitive scheduling, location, or cost. Access lies at the crux of our values of diversity, inclusion, social justice, racial justice, empathy, and shared abundance.
