10/13 Arverne East Nature Preserve Plug and Shrub Planting
Join the Stewardship Team as we restore coastal habitats at Arverne East Nature Preserve with a volunteer shrub and plug planting! Coastal shrublands provide a variety of benefits including improved water quality and protection from storm surges. They also serve as critical habitat for native wildlife! Please note, volunteers should dress in clothes that can get dirty and close-toed shoes. We also encourage volunteers to bring their own water bottles. Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. This event has been made possible with funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service.
