Prep for Toy Giveaway and Holidays Celebration for Low Income Immigrant Children
Purpose/Objective:
Fundavenyc is a 501-c3 non-profit that seeks to accelerate and support asylum seekers and immigrants’ transition into thriving New York City residents.
For many low-income immigrant families, celebrating the holidays can be challenging. We want to bring joy, music, and a warm atmosphere where children can laugh and parents can take a moment to relax and enjoy the spirit of the season. We need help to prepare the venue for the event.
Location:
Harlem, NYC
Time Commitment:
- This is a one-time opportunity, Friday, December 6th, 2024
- Volunteers must be available from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Volunteers will be assigned to any of the following opportunities during the event:
- Unload and organize toys.
- Organize the venue area.
- Support the staff with any necessary tasks.
Qualifications:
- Flexibility and willingness to assist in any necessary tasks.
- Ability to work in a group, with a strong disposition for teamwork.
- Ability to receive feedback.
