About Youth Action 50
Youth Action 50 (YA50) is a dynamic leadership initiative designed to empower the next generation of changemakers and young civic leaders. YA50 recognizes the critical role young people play in driving innovative solutions and social progress. The program brings together 50 Youth groups from diverse backgrounds to participate in transformative experiences that blend education, skill-building, hands-on advocacy, and access to experts via partnerships. Each group will be awarded $1,000 to support their vision.

Eligibility Criteria
- Be a community-based organization, nonprofit, school group, or City Agency in New York City
- Host a program or group of youth, primarily between the ages of 14-21 years old
- Complete a solution-oriented service project that works to solve a community issue which youth are passionate about and aligns with the organizational mission
Timeline
Application Opens: June 3, 2026
Deadline: July 17, 2026
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so earlier submissions are encouraged.
As applications are reviewed, NYC Service will reach out to applicants with next steps. Orientation will be held on September 23, 2026.
