National Volunteer Month 2026

Every April, National Volunteer Month honors the power of people to transform communities through service. In New York City, volunteers are building a stronger, fairer, and more connected city—one act of service at a time. Join us in celebrating impact and expanding opportunity through action.

Why Volunteerism Matters

Volunteers are the heart of NYC. From mentoring youth to supporting mutual aid, volunteers fuel resilience, inclusion, and collective progress. National Volunteer Month is a time to celebrate those contributions—and to invite more New Yorkers to step in and serve. Your company can be a catalyst for good by mobilizing employees in meaningful, community-driven ways.
